Life is a wonderful adventure full of many opportunities. There are so many possibilities and paths we can choose to take. Each of these decisions will shape our life. Some might live their lives under a shadow of fear. They might be more concerned about doing things the “right” way. Or the fear might manifest itself by living in what one deems a “safe” way, never risking, never taking chances, afraid of what might happen.
However, none of this seems to stand in the way of Aaron Tredway. In his book, Outrageous, Tredway shares so many incredible stories of experiences he has had. The book is aptly titled since some of his stories are so far from our ordinary life experiences. Each of the stories is fairly short and includes some kind of lesson learned or realization of God’s work in Tredway’s life. Many of the stories are of how Tredway shared the message of Jesus through soccer. The writing is easy to read and the book is engaging enough to be read in one sitting, if desired.
I enjoyed the stories Tredway shared and how being open to possibilities leads to greater things. I can see it being empowering to others to go out and live their lives without reservation being open to an outrageous life.
